Nutritional applications for Musculoskeletal Health and Sports Performance

Saturday 13th May 2017 | 10am – 5pm

Riverside Building, County Hall, London, SE1 7PB

The body has significant powers of self healing and regeneration. However inflammation and poor nutritional status can contribute to the rate of breakdown exceeding the rate of repair. You will probably have noticed that injuries to bone, tendons and tissues can be slower to repair in some patients than others – this may be due to excessive inflammation or a lack of nutrients needed for the repair process.

Cytoplan is introducing its unique event for Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists and other practitioners interested in musculo-skeletal health who would like to advance their nutritional knowledge in order to help improve the effectiveness of their therapy. This event aims to combine the latest research and clinical applications for utilising nutrition in practice and to identify appropriate dietary and supplement interventions to optimise patient wellness and recovery.

Our 3 speakers are experts in their field and will bring you the latest research and applications.

Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine – a journey into the future of primary health care

Saturday 1st July 2017 | 10am – 5pm

County Hall, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 7PB

Non-communicable diseases constitute the leading cause of death in the world, representing 63% of all deaths (WHO 2013). The structure of modern medical care works well for acute illness, but medical and social science experts agree that other ways of working are required to stem the rise in chronic disease, the root cause of which is often based on diet and lifestyle factors.

Dr Rangan Chatterjee is an established thought leader in preventive medicine having worked as an NHS physician in hospital medicine and more recently as a GP. He has trained with the Institute of Functional Medicine, studied movement kinetics and in late 2016, spoke to the world about his work, both in the clinic and on television, in his TEDx talk entitled “How to make diseases disappear” (you can watch the video via this link) which has already been viewed over 100,000 times.

Join Rangan and a panel of experienced clinicians to discuss the evolution of lifestyle medicine, and be part of creating the fabric of future primary care in the 21st century.
